Whats in your IT Toolbox?

One of hour happy hour members is creating a database and GUI that has all the information about all the applications and tools that we and other techs/IT people would need or want to know about.

The application contains fields for:

App name
Release version
Release Year
Internal Network Location
Personal (127.0.0.1) Location
Website
License Type
License Key (this info will be stripped released it unless otherwise noted)
Notes
Application Category

The application is done but he needs help populating the database

Please list out names of applications you find useful. It can be anything from IM clients, pdf tools, password tools, programming tools, media players, codec packs, network trace tools, hardware monitoring, etc..

Once it’s heavily populated he will release it as freeware. It should be a pretty handy and easy to use reference for us IT people.

  1. Thank you for posting this up for me. Any ideas that other IT people have are more than welcome. This is a pet project but hopefully it will be useful for everyone.
If you would like you can speak to me about it at the next meetup.
    TIA
